PFC Craig Penny To Receive Thanks From President Bush

U.S. Army Private First Class Craig Penny, 19, of Sale Creek, a military policeman assigned to Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) will be personally meeting and shaking hands with outgoing President George W. Bush on Tuesday.

Pfc Penny was advised by his chain of command that President Bush will be at Ft. Myer, Va., to meet and thank the members of the Old Guard for their service over the past eight years, and will be meeting the soldiers who have won the Soldier of the Quarter Board over the previous months. One of those soldiers is Pfc Penny.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marty Penny.
