Mayor Ramsey will hold a brief ceremony on Tuesday at 3 p.m. to dedicate the South Chickamauga Creek Bridge on the Riverwalk to former Hamilton County Engineer Mike Howard. A bronze plaque will be mounted at the bridge.
Mr. Howard served as the Hamilton County Engineer from 1991 until his death in 2007. He was instrumental in the planning and construction of the Tennessee Riverwalk. Mr. Howard's contributions to this community have left a lasting legacy for future generations to come, officials said.
The Hamilton County Commission and Chattanooga City Council are invited to attend.
