Charlie, left, and Ella need a castle of their own to call home. Click to enlarge.
If Charlie could wear a beret, remarked one kennel worker, he would look like a French artist, thanks to the markings near his nose that resemble a mustache.

Charlie shares the Castle Room with Ella, a female silver tabby cat who likes to observe visitors from a perch on the castle wall. Charlie prefers a platform on the side of the castle, where a turret window gives him a discreet view of the Castle Room door.

Both have good dispositions and perky ears. Charlie especially likes a good head rub.

Charlie and Ella are waiting for adoption at the Margaret Brock Center at the Humane Society at 212 N. Highland Park Avenue (ID A06880555). Kennel hours are 11-4 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Thursday hours are 11-6. Friday hours are 12-4. The phone is 624-5302.

To volunteer at the Humane Society, call 624-5302 or email hesvolunteer@comcast.net.
