Renowned artists, George Nock, Tim Hinton, and Audrey Menefee, selected Chattanooga as their first stop to unveil their new traveling exhibit, the Untold Story of the Great Black Jockeys.
The Untold Story of the Great Black Jockeys will be on display at the Chattanooga African American Museum through July 10. The exhibit will feature fine art, including painting and sculptures, depicting the story of African American jockeys and is designed to educate the world about the essential role African Americans played in helping shaping the nation’s thoroughbred racing industry.
Visitors can tour the museum Monday through Friday between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. or on Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. General admission is $5, $3 for senior citizens and students and $2 for children ages 6-12.
