Elementary School Teacher For Over 54 Years

Joseph Chester “J. C.” Linebaugh, 73, of Ooltewah, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at a local hospital.
He was the son of the late Chester and Inse Linebaugh and was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Linebaugh.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and attended the University Church in Collegedale.
J. C. was an elementary school teacher for over 54 years. His greatest passions in life were his family and teaching, especially special education, which he pursued until the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Linebaugh; three children, Jody Linebaugh, Deborah Pitts, Jacine Morris; 11 grandchildren, Destiny, Dustyn, Cerena, Dustin, Ashley, Sean, Savannah, Sidney, Joe, Kristina, Faithe; nine great-grandchildren, Andy, Aiden, Spencer, Samuel, Joey, Brandon, Aileana, Brenner, Caelum; and a sister, Joann Walker.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
