East Ridge Police responded to the Hide Away Storage located at 1523 Keeble St. on Monday at approximately 7 a.m. in reference to multiple storage units having been entered during the night.
Officers arrived and found approximately 25 storage units had been forced open. A video surveillance shows two possible white men wearing hats carrying bolt cutters walking inside the fenced storage facility. Video indicates that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. In addition to the storage units four vehicles were also entered.
Investigators are working to contact the affected property owners and following up on leads. A gas-powered generator has been reported stolen; however, many of those who have been contacted thus far have reported that nothing was missing from their storage unit.
Anyone with items stored at the Keeble Street location is encouraged to contact the Hide Away storage to inquire if their storage unit has been affected by last night's incident.
