Bradley County Mayor Gary Davis has issued a caution to elderly homeowners to be aware of a possible scam in the area involving home security systems.
County Mayor Davis said his office has received calls from citizens asking about a person trying to sell the systems with the backing of the county.
County Mayor Davis said the county is not involved in any type of home security system program and urges residents to ask for the person's name, phone number and name of their company. If they refuse to give the information, you should notify the police, the county mayor said.
