The Lantern Alzheimer’s Center at Morning Pointe in Collegedale will host a Fourth of July celebration for residents and their families at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3.
Juggler/comedian Rick Hasty will present a 30-minute variety show along with a walk-around juggling act. The public is invited to attend. Free tickets for Mr. Hasty's performance are available in limited supply at The Lantern located at 9300 Messinger Lane.
“We are pleased to announce that Mr. Hasty will be appearing at The Lantern community for our residents’ entertainment enjoyment,” said Dawn Dunn, program director for The Lantern. Locally, Mr. Hasty has appeared at the Hunter Museum of American Art, The Comedy Catch, Riverbend Festival, UTC Fine Arts Center, Southern Belle Riverboat, libraries, schools and churches. He also performed at Atlanta’s Olympic Games.
