The Tennessee Crush, a USFL semi-pro football team, was seen practicing last night at Finley Stadium in
preparation for their Saturday night game against the North Georgia Bulldogs.

This Saturday at 7:00 pm, June 27th, the Crush will start their 2009 USFL Season off at Finley Stadium.

The Tennessee Crush is a development team that competes in the United South Football League composed
of a North and South Division for a total of twenty-one teams including the Georgia X-treme. The Crush
was the 2007 North Division Champions and was on the road to compete for their second championship in
2008 with a 7-1 winning record and a number one USFL league standing.

The team, owned by Tracey Rico, played and operated its first year under the ownership of Chris Carter as
the Tennessee Pioneers. Chris was offered an out-of-town job with Garinger High School in Charlotte,
North Carolina and was recently awarded Coach of the Year for leading his team to four wins and ending a
61-game losing streak. The Pioneers played its 2006 season at East Ridge High School. In 2007, Rico changed the name to the Tennessee Crush and took the team on a tour playing at different high schools.

The 2008 Crush season, the team played all their home games at Cleveland High School with the exception of the Garden Bowl game. The Garden Bowl Game took place at Bradley Central High School to benefit the Bradley Health Care and Rehabilitation for an outdoor garden area for their Alzheimer’s patients. This was the first game Tennessee Crush and the North Georgia Bulldogs faced each other on the field with the North Georgia Bulldogs handing out an upset to the USFL North Division Champions.

The Tennessee Crush is looking for vindication Saturday night, June 27, against the North Georgia Bulldogs on the field at Finley Stadium.

Adult $5 admission, children under 10 and parking is Free. Big River Bar & Grille will give away gift certificates to some lucky winners and the Crush will give away t-shirts to some lucky winners.

Kick off time is 7:00 pm with Rob Allen from Chattanooga's Classic Rock KZ 106. The field is sponsored by Councilman Manny Rico and his wife, Barbara, of Rico Monuments.
