Fire Destroys Soddy Daisy Trailer Where 12 Lived With 4 Pets posted June 29, 2009 Local Red Cross Disaster Volunteers assisted 12 Soddy Daisy residents who were displaced when a fire totally destroyed the trailer they were living in. The group included three families with six children all under the age of nine. Two pets were lost in the blaze and four survived. The Greater Chattanooga Area Red Cross provided short term emergency lodging as well as assistance with food, clothing and diapers. A six year-old boy, whose birthday was today, lost his cake and all his presents in the fire. Family member said they would use their Client Assistance Card to replace the cake. |
