Ronald McDonald House Charities will host its third annual Jawbones vs. Sawbones Golf Tournament on Friday, July 17, at Bear Trace located at 8919 Harrison Bay Road in Harrison, Tn.
Event registration and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The golf tourney will feature on course contests and prizes with a grand prize of $10,000 for the hole-in-one contest. The registration fee per golfer is $100 and a four-person team is $400. The tournament concludes with an award reception with wine and cheese.
Jawbones vs. Sawbones is a friendly competition that began 15 years ago when some local attorneys and physicians hosted a charity basketball game. The event partners each year with the Chattanooga Bar Association, Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society and Chattanooga Area Dental Society.
Net proceeds from the tournament will benefit the following community programs: Ronald McDonald Care Mobile dental program; SmartMoovz Exercise and Nutrition Program; Charles A. Noone Sustaining Fund; Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine; Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block, a program that is providing dental education at ten schools prior to the arrival of the Care Mobile at each school.
