Creditors Seek To Force Joe Prebul Into Bankruptcy posted July 1, 2009 Creditors of Chattanooga auto dealer Joe Prebul are seeking to force him into bankruptcy. Attorney Jerry Farinash, the trustee for the bankruptcy of Prebul's former dealership group, filed the petition in Chattanooga Bankruptcy Court. He cited money loaned by the dealerships to the Signal Mountain resident. Judge John Cook has been assigned to the case, and a hearing has been set for Monday at 3 p.m. Prebul is facing federal charges in New York City on allegations he misused millions of dollars obtained from his brother-in-law. He is free on bond. |
