While responding to an accident with injuries, a Chattanooga Police Officer was involved in a separate accident on Wednesday night.
The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. on North Orchard Knob Avenue when a stopped vehicle pulled into the path of the officer's cruiser.
According to witnesses, the officer was driving with blue lights and sirens activated. Traffic was stopped to allow him to pass, but at the last moment, one of the stopped vehicles turned left in front of the officer's cruiser.
The officer was not injured. However, the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Erlanger Hospital with minor injuries.
No charges will be filed in this accident.
