Longtime Nurse Was Also Red Cross Volunteer

Grace "Mrs. Kelley" Rich, 89, of East Ridge, died on Thursday, July 2, 2009.
She was a member of Greenslake Road Church of Christ. Mrs. Rich had worked as plant nurse at Standard Coosa Thatcher and also was a Red Cross volunteer and Auxiliary member at Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Obey Kelley Rich Sr.; parents, George Washington Smith and Bina Hillis Smith; siblings, Robert, Elizabeth, John, Lorene, Bessie, Georgia, James and Edward.
Survivors include her son, Obey Kelley Rich Jr. and his wife Pat; daughter, Carolyn Joy McCuller and her husband, Ed; grandchildren, Mary Angela Grace Phillips and her husband, Freddy, Obey Kelley Rich III and his wife, Jessica, Gretchen Marie Mitchell and her husband, Joey, Edward Franklin McCuller Jr. and his wife Kellye, James Kelley McCuller, Robin Michelle Presley and her husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Corey and Josie Lamb and Kai Mitchell, Nathaniel McCuller, James and Jonathan McCuller, Heath, Coby, Blaise and Abrielle Grace Presley; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, with Minister Jim Lewis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will gather at noon on Monday at the funeral home and process to Chattanooga National Cemetery where committal services will be held at 12:30 p.m.
