FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Hixson's Josh Lawson won in round one here Thursday, but lost in a quarterfinal in the TGA State Match Play Championship.
Lawson defeated Nick Garretson from Franklin, 5 and 4, in round one of match play.
In a quarterfinal, however, Lawson lost to Knoxville's Todd Burgan, 5 and 4.
Friday's Semifinals:
7:30 AM 1 Jonathan Fly, Todd Burgan
7:45 AM 1 Danny Green, Matt King
The final will be played Friday afternoon.
In the seniors final, Jack Ramsey will play Larry Dupree on Friday morning.
