Margie Ashworth Stone, 81, of Lookout Valley, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Hospice Unit of Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church and was retired from the state of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. “Jake” Stone and mother, Louise McShea; and father, Carl Ashworth; and sister, Edna Frank.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Doyle) Lewis and her son, James Carl Stone; two grandchildren, Melissa Lewis Striker and Jeff (Beth) Lewis; four great-grandchildren, Avery Striker, Ellie Lewis, Megan Lewis and Dylan Lewis; and niece, Shelia Maier and family.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 5, at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery in St. Elmo.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Wann Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
