The Chattanooga Premier League (CPL 2009) tournament will raise funds for the Chaitanya Gompa Charity July 11-Aug. 1.
Players will pay $10 to participate in the league. There will be seven teams made up of common friends who play cricket around Chattanooga.
The venue will be sponsored by Mr. Naren Patel, who built a cricket ground on his own property in Ringgold.
The inauguration ceremony will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. followed by two cricket matches.
The tournament will be a round robin. Every team will play with the rest of the six teams. There will be a total of 21 round robin matches and two semi-finals and one final match. The top four in the points table will play semis and winners will play finals on Aug. 1.
This tournament will be played on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Thursdays and Sundays are reserved days.
