A name change and new leadership are in store for the Southeast Tennessee Real Estate Investment Association. The organization provides a forum for networking and education for experienced and novice real estate investors. The new name will be River City Real Estate Investment Association.
Meanwhile, John Jerman has been selected to serve as president of the Chattanooga chapter. Mr. Jerman practiced architecture and interior design for over 22 years, is co-founder of Office Furniture Warehouse, obtained a real estate license in 1999 and has experience running various businesses, ranging from architectural design firms to asset liquidation companies.
RC-REIA Operations Manager Wanda Hodge said, “The newly named RC-REIA has assembled a new board of directors made up of some of the city’s most respected and experienced real estate investors to assist Jerman.”
“Real estate is such a timely issue today, in this economy,” Mr. Jerman said. “I have some great resources and information to paint a clearer picture about what is happening in real estate and what is likely to happen in the future.”
He said the news from the real estate business is not all “doom and gloom.”
“Real estate professionals like myself and my RC-REIA board members are out there trying to help homeowners in trouble to navigate these difficult times,” he said.
