Angel.
Angel was only 6 to 8 weeks old when she came to the shelter as a stray, but during her short life she had learned to be timid and fearful. She is still somewhat shy, but with the help of volunteers she has shed much of her skittishness.

Angel has a lovely and serene personality. She is not a barker, which should be a pleasing trait to persons who live in close quarters. She may need some time to warm up to you, but once she does she is friendly and loving.

Angel is less than a year old. She will be at PetSmart on Gunbarrel Road on Saturday along with some other black dogs, who unfortunately tend to be overlooked and underadopted. Because of this, their adoption fee has been reduced.

She can also be visited at the Humane Society at 212 N. Highland Park Avenue (Animal ID A07910960). Kennel hours are 11-4 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Thursday hours are 11-6. Friday hours are 12-4. The phone is 624-5302.

To volunteer at the Humane Society, call 624-5302 or email hesvolunteer@comcast.net.
