CSO Youth Orchestra Has Fall Concert Nov. 9

The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Youth Orchestras will be presenting their fall concert at Brainerd Baptist Church beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 9. Brainerd Baptist Church is located at 300 Brookfield Ave.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $6 for adults and $4 for children, students, and senior citizens.

The CSOYO Symphony (Gary Wilkes, Conductor) and Philharmonic (Sandra Morris, Conductor) will be performing a variety of music, including Danse Macabre (Saint-Saëns), Slavonic Dance No. 8 (Dvořák), Hoedown (Copland), Hornpipe (Handel), and Symphony No. 9 Finale (Beethoven).

Also featured on the concert will be a performance of Viotti’s Violin Concerto No. 22 (1st movement) by Joel Wilkinson, winner of the 2009 CSOYO Concerto Competition.
