Wooten, Matthew "Todd" (Rock Spring)

Matthew “Todd” Wooten, 27, died on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009.

He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, and had been a lifelong resident of Walker County, Ga. He was a graduate of the Class of 2000 from Ridgeland High School.

He was currently working for the U.S. Postal Service in Ringgold, Georgia and Wal-Mart in Fort Oglethorpe. He enjoyed greeting everyone he met with a smile, listening to music, watching Major League baseball and NFL Football. He was a member of Mission Glen Baptist Church in Rossville.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Lorena Burrows Wooten.

He is survived by his father, Robert Wooten, of Rock Spring, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Shaun and Amber Wooten, of Buford, Ga.; sister: Angela Lynn Gipson, of Illinois; a niece and a nephew, Kayla and Daniel Gipson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 3- 9 p.m., all day Friday, and Saturday morning prior to the service.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the chapel with Ministers Steve Wells and Bill Grissett officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens, LaFayette, Ga.
