Mitchell Wade Seals, 76, of the Cagle Mountain community near Dunlap, died on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, in a Chattanooga hospital.
He was an active member of the Highland Rim Bicycle Races, Cagle Volunteer Fire Department, and Yellow Springs Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and treasurer.
Mr. Seals was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Eathel Elliott Seals; and brother, Billy Ray Seals.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Anne Hatfield Seals, Dunlap; daughters, Trisha (Jeff) Barger, Dunlap, and Gina (Michael) Pearson, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Hannah Barger, Jaden Barger, Taylor Smith, Jackson Smith, Alexis Smith, Ryan Pearson, and Brandon Pearson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CST on Thursday, Nov. 5, in the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Arnold officiating. Burial will be in McGlothen Cemetery.
