Dees, Lois Sillman (Cleveland) posted November 7, 2009 Lois Sillman Dees, 84, of Cleveland, Tn., died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in a local health care facility. She was of the Presbyterian faith. A native of Chicago, she moved to Philadelphia, Miss. as a young lady and lived there most of her life until she moved to Cleveland in 1994. She had many friends in the Cleveland area. She loved watching football and reading and she was a great southern cook. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Billy Dees; and one brother, Jack Sillman who was killed in World War II. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kim and Nancy Dees, Cleveland and Paul and Sherry Dees, Nashville; three grandchildren, Shelley Dees Baker, Nashville, Meredith Dees, Cleveland and Ricky Dees, Nashville; and one great-grandson, Samuel Paul Baker. Graveside services will be held Sunday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. C.S.T. at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia, Miss. with Rev. Don Caviness officiating.
