Chattanooga Police are investigating an attempted robbery on Sunday afternoon behind an elementary school that left one person shot.
The incident occurred in the 4300 block of Howell Road at Woodmore Lane, just behind Woodmore Elementary, around 3:30 p.m.
After being shot in the back, the victim, Jermichael Richardson, 21, made his way to 4318 Howell Road where the homeowner called for police and EMS.
He was transported to Erlanger Hospital by ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time.
The case is still under investigation.
