The community is invited to attend a Community Thanksgiving Service that will benefit the Samaritan Center on Nov. 24, at 7 p.m., at Ooltewah United Methodist Church.
Seven local churches are coming together to make this special evening possible including Collegedale SDA, Collegedale Community SDA, Mountain View Christian, Ooltewah Baptist, Ooltewah United Methodist, Ooltewah SDA and Resurrection Lutheran.
Guests are asked to bring a canned good for the Samaritan Center. A freewill offering for the center will also be taken up.
The evening will include music, prayer, uplifting scriptural thoughts about giving thanks, and more. This united Thanksgiving Service tradition has been taking place in the community for more than ten years now.
