Broad Street To Get New Public Art Piece posted March 9, 2010 Broad Street will be getting a new piece of public art - thanks to the owners of the building where Lupi's Pizza is located. Larry Zehnder, city parks and recreation director, said the owners of the pizza place at 406 Broad St. want to place the art work out front. It is described as a bent ribbon of steel by sculptor Ray Padron. The title is "Anchors for Angst." It is valued at $3,000. Mr. Zehnder said it was approved by the city's Public Art Committee. Councilwoman Pam Ladd said, "I haven't seen a picture of it. Is it a nude?" Mr. Zehnder assured her it was not. |
