posted May 29, 2002

The next meeting of the Grief Support Group meeting to deal with the Walker County, Ga., crematory case is Monday, June 3, at First Baptist Church in Cleveland.

The meetings are being conducted by Rev. Bill Griffith and sponsored by Bradley County Sheriff Dan Gilley.

The meeting will begin at 6:30.

Victims of the crematory investigation can contact Rev Griffith before hand if they have need of individual counseling. Rev. Griffith is a trained grief counselor with many years of experience, officials said. His number is 423-593-3754.

Bradley County has recorded 14 traffic related fatalities this year. The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Cleveland Bradley County Emergency Management Agency, 911 Communications, Bradley County Emergency Medical Service and the Cleveland Police Department have met with the Bradley County Sheriff's Office to discuss strategy and methods to prevent future fatalities on the roadways.

Officials said, "We are asking drivers to slow down, pay attention, have all passengers properly restrained and leave the cell phone off."
