Nov. 10 The UTC Orchestra will be presenting a free concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall at UTC Fine Arts Center. Mirian Conti from the Julliard Institute of Music will be the guest soloist on this concert for the Beethoven 5th Piano Concerto Emperor. Nov. 10 The Lee University Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Alan Wyatt, will perform in the Dixon Center on at 7:30 p.m. Free. Nov. 12-13 CSO Masterworks: Beethoven Symphony #7, Tivoli Theatre, 8 p.m. The CSO happily welcomes back Maestro Foskett to lead a program of Beethoven, Brahms and Wagner. Beethoven's Seventh Symphony is a rhythmic powerhouse, and the Brahms and Wagner add rich complexity to this magnificent performance. Nov. 13 The Share America Foundation will host an evening of gospel music with Broadway, film and country music star Stella Parton at Sacred Sounds at 7:30 p.m. at the Ringgold Depot, corner of Depot Street and U.S. 41 in Ringgold. The Jeff Hullender Family will also appear. Randall Franks from TV's "In the Heat of the Night” will emcee. The event is a fundraiser for the Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship Fund helping musicians achieve higher education. Donations for tickets are adults: $5, Children 5 and under free with adult. Free concert featuring new music by both ensembles. Nov. 13-14 Voices Won ministries hosts its 8th Anniversary Singing, 7 p.m. at Ryman Hall, 2203 South Dixie Highway (U.S. Highway 41) south of Dalton. Appearing on Friday night is Voices Won and Crist Family on Saturday night will be Karen Peck and New River, Mark Bishop and Voices Won. Dinner and concessions will be available nightly. Nov. 13-21 UTC Theatre Department presents Anon(ymous) by Naomi Iizuka, a modern adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey. This ancient myth gathers new meaning in the poetic journey of a young refugee in contemporary America and his search to reclaim his past. The concert will include Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in D major, op. 19 featuring violin soloist Julia Salerno and conclude with Symphony No. 2, op. 27 by Serge Rachmaninoff.
