40th Circuit Court Lawsuit Filed In Tri-State Matter posted September 12, 2002 The 40th Hamilton County Circuit Court lawsuit has been filed in the Tri-State Crematory case. Tommy Bishop and Catherine Bishop sued Covenant Funeral Service, the crematory and its operator, Brent Marsh. Tommy Bishop is the only surviving child of Emmett Nelson Bishop. Catherine Bishop is the widow. Both live in Oklahoma City, Okla. Mr. Bishop died last Nov. 21. The family said the remains they were given turned out to be "ordinary cement dust." They said the body "was not cremated, but was instead disposed of in an improper manner." A host of lawsuits have been filed after 339 uncremated bodies were found at the Noble, Ga., site last February. The suit was filed by attorney Craig Lowell of Birmingham, Ala., and Richard Matthews of Columbia, Tn. |
