Chattanooga Law Firm Opens Knoxville Office

Kennedy Koontz & Farinash, Attorneys at law, announced that they have opened a second office at Corporate Square II, 200 Prosperity Drive, Suite 238. The firm was founded in 1985 and practices in the areas of business reorganization, business workouts, liquidation, employment law, personal injury and commercial litigation.

The firm’s partners include Richard C. Kennedy, George E. Koontz, Jerry Farinash, and Richard T. Klingler.

Mr. Kennedy received his law degree from Georgetown University, is a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, and is a Director in the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute and a member to the Chattanooga, Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

Mr. Koontz received his law degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Farinash is a graduate of Roane State Community College and East Tennessee State University. He received his law degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Klingler received his law degree from Southern Illinois University. He is also licensed to practice law in Georgia. He is a member of Chattanooga and Georgia State Bar.

Shannon G. Scearce and Mykes E. Kinnard are the firm’s associates.

Members of the firm are admitted to practice before all Federal Courts in the Eastern District of Tennessee, all Tennessee and Georgia State Courts, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

The firm continues to maintain its primary office at 320 North Holtzclaw Avenue in Chattanooga.

Not certified as specialists by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization.
