James Matthew West, 100, of Rock Spring, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in a local hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a member of the Center Grove Baptist Church. Mr. West was a farmer, carpenter and former employee of Sweetwater Rug Company in Ringgold for 13 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Ora West.
Survivors are son, James W. West, Rock Spring; daughter, Inez Campbell, Fort Oglethorpe; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Levoyd Whitton officiating.
Interment in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
