Sixty-two McCallie students have been named AP Scholars by The College Board for their outstanding achievement on Advanced Placement exams in May 2003.
AP scoring is on a 5-point scale, with a large percentage of colleges giving credit hours for scores of 3 or higher. Over the past five years, McCallie has averaged 51 AP Scholars per year.
AP Scholars With Distinction (28) must average at least 3.5 on all exams taken and score 3 or higher on at least five exams: Atlas Anagnos '03, Dillon Atwood '03, Matt Benton '03, Richard Bethune '03, Andrew Boston '03, Drew Bromfield '03, Daniel Clayton '03, Eric Conn '03, William Dann '03, Luke Habegger '03, Tye Haeberle '03, Daniel Hammond '03, Michael Hertzog '03, Craig Kilgo '03, Ben Mayo '03, Wilson McCrory '03, John Parkhurst '03, Vivek Rao '03, David Ray '03, Stephen Rich '03, Bryan Sansbury '03, Martin Seay '03, Niraj Shah '03, Travis Starkey '03, Graham Taylor '03, Alex Thorn '03, Eric Turner '03, Meade Willis '03.
AP Scholars With Honors (15) must average at least 3.25 on all exams taken and score 3 or higher on at least four exams: Doug Bright '03, Eric Brown, Lee Coan '03, Mark Estabrook '03, Andrew Gardner '03, Christopher Hennen '03, William Matthews, Chris Mela, Jordan Moniuszko, Jason Patel, Jay Patel, Skyler Phillips '03, Elias Schulze '03, Nathaniel Slater, Taylor Smith '03.
