Robber Hits First Tennessee Bank Branch
posted October 12, 2003

Chattanooga Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery Saturday at the Brainerd branch of First Tennessee Bank.

CPD Investigator Ricky Ballard says a man walked into the First Tennessee Bank branch at 3602 Brainerd Road just after 11 a.m. He wrote a note demanding money on a deposit slip he got from a desk in the lobby and handed it to a teller. He told her to give him "the 5's, 10's and 20's."

After being handed the cash he was last seen walking out the door, heading toward the tunnels.

No weapon was seen during the holdup.

The robber is described as a black male, about 6'1." He was wearing black
pants, an olive green shirt, a do-rag, and a ball cap with pink writing on it. Tellers believe he was in his mid 30's.

Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call
Chattanooga Police at 698-2525.
