Heidi Suzanne Cruz, an economic director at the National Security Council, will speak at the Southern Adventist University graduation.
Ms. Cruz serves as the Economic Director for Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council at the White House.
While not on official assignment from the White House, Ms. Cruz is attending the graduation of her niece and will be speaking in her private capacity.
A total of 271 undergraduate students and 16 master’s students will receive their degrees.
It will be Sunday, May 9, at 9:30 a.m. at Southern Adventist University, Iles Physical Education Center, 4870 University Dr., Collegedale.
Admission to the commencement service is by ticket only.
