Woodlee Strikes Out 16 In Grundy County Loss
Milan Wins On White's Four-Hitter

MILLINGTON, Tenn. -- In a classic pitcher's duel, Milan's Chris White was just a little better than Grundy County's Toby Woodlee on Tuesday night.

White improved to 13-0 as Milan defeated Grundy, 2-1, in the winners bracket of the Class AA state baseball tournament.

White gave up only four hits and struck out four in seven innings. Woodlee allowed seven hits, but struck out 16 in a losing cause.

Phillip White was 3-for-4 for Milan and Brent Ramsey was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Grundy will play in the losers bracket on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the USA Park.
