I like to pride myself being from a patriotic state whose people spend a lot of attention and effort supporting our troops. Then I get reminded by idiots like Edward Lee Pitts whose only concern is his own career and "journalistic" hits to get his fame in life.
Only a journalist would whine and cry about humvees not having enough armor.
You made that soldier look like a wimp to all the soldiers, marines and
airmen who have the ingenuity and the initiative to solve problems. Now the liberal press can't blast President Bush so they are going to try to tear down the military instead....to make him look bad. WHICH IS CRAP.
Don't sacrifice the men and women who fight every day so your lazy butt can
go to work and drink coffee and weave your journalist lies.
I hope the outing of this story makes you look like the turncoats you are.

I would like to thank Lee Pitts for being resourceful enough to get the question asked. Obviously it was a question many soldiers wanted addressed because of the cheers that were heard afterwards.
I, like Ms. Schrider support our men and women in the military and with that support comes the responsibility we have to equip them with whatever they may need to successfully complete their mission. I don't see how in any way that makes our troops or our President look bad.
The only thing that "looks bad," Ms. Schrider, is your thought process.

I do not think that Mr. Pitts' question made our soldiers look like wimps. I also don't think he made President Bush look bad--Mr. Bush is fully capable of doing that on his own!
Soldiers cannot fight our war if they are not protected by the correct equipment. If it were not for the media there is no telling what our soldiers would be putting up with in Iraq. The only person looking bad right now is Ms. Schrider!
