The Chattanooga Boys Choir 16th Annual fundraiser Catering to the Boys Choir & Silent Auction is Thursday, April 7 at 5:30 p.m. This year the event will return to the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. All funds raised from this event go to support the Boys Choir Scholarship Program.
“This fundraisers provides the choir experience for boys that might not otherwise be able to participate,” said Vincent Oakes, Artistic and Executive Director of the Boys Choir. “By joining us for this fun event, you make it possible for future generations to experience the joy of music.”
Catering to the Boys Choir showcases restaurants and caterers of the area with an unlimited sampling of their fare and drinks. Restaurants that are already committed to being at this year’s event are the Acropolis, Cookies by Design, English Rose, Formosa, Golly Whoppers, India Mahal, Naked Cakes, Patrick’s, Riverside Catfish House, Tortilla Factory, Walden Club and Yellow Submarine.
While attendees are sampling the food, they will also be able to bid on items in the silent auction. Area businesses and organizations have donated such items as a mountain cabin getaway, sporting event tickets, passes to area attractions, Chattanooga Symphony & Opera tickets, original artwork by the Dade County Artisans Association, teeth bleaching, family portrait by Barry Aslinger, greens fees to Bear Trace Golf Course, scuba classes from Leisure Time Dive & Ski, a one-night stay at Opryland Hotel, oil changes, restaurant gift certificates and much more.
This year’s event will include special musical entertainment, including the Morgan Five Jazz Ensemble and the Boys Choir changed-voice choir, Cantabile. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance at the Boys Choir office or the evening of the event at the door.
