This is Chattanooga’s 7th year of agility competition, featuring simultaneous action in two rings with a total of three judges who will supervise up to 600 runs a day.
Sponsored by the Chattanooga Kennel Club (CKC), the show will take place at the Tri-State Exhibition Center, Exit 20 off I-75 near Cleveland, Tenn. This event is free to the public. Show hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Over 350 dog and handler teams are entered in competition at various levels of difficulty. Dogs of all sizes and breeds will jump hurdles, rocket through tunnels, blast through weave poles, climb A-frames, run across dog walks and race for the finish line in timed and judged events each day. It is a test of skill and athletic ability, with qualifying AKC ribbons and titles awarded for top competitors in categories ranging from “Novice” to “Excellent”.
Featured in competition will be top agility handlers from around the country, including members of the United States World Team who have competed in agility events around the world.
Founded in 1934 and staffed by experienced volunteers, the Chattanooga Kennel Club is the only American Kennel Club conformation and agility club in the Chattanooga area.
