Crime Stoppers: 1997 Missing Person Case
posted May 11, 2005

This week’s Crime Stoppers feature is a missing person case that investigators have been unable to obtain any fresh leads on. Bruce Allan Longley has been missing from North Chattanooga since August of 1997.

Family members say Mr. Longley may have left on his own accord enroute to Atlanta to find work after an argument with a family member or he could have left because of health issues he was facing. Whether he did leave on his own or forced to leave still does not explain him never being heard from again, said officials.

His brothers advised it was unusual for him not to keep in touch with his family.

Bruce Longley is a white male, born Aug. 31, 1962. At the time he disappeared he was 5’8” tall, weighed 130 pounds and has brown eyes and reddish brown hair.

Call Crime Stoppers at 698-3333. Information that aids in solving this case could result in up to $1,000 in cash rewards being offered.
