Bicycle Tour Of Chickamauga Battlefied Is May 30

Park Ranger Rebecca Karcher will lead a bicycle tour of Chickamauga Battlefield on Monday, May 30, at 9 a.m.

This tour will introduce participants to the story and resources preserved on the field of one of the bloodiest battles of the American Civil War.

The tour will cover approximately four miles of roadway making several stops to discuss battle actions and identify significant resources.

The tour will begin and end at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center and will take approximately two hours.

Participants will need to bring a bicycle, bottle of water, and are encouraged to wear a safety helmet. For those riders under the age of 16 a bicycle helmet is mandatory in order to participate in the tour.
