Bud Knowles Should Be Head Of Election Commission
posted June 24, 2005

Bud Knowles, like his brother Wm F. "Bill" Knowles, is honest, dependable and honorable. Hamilton County is fortunate to have both of these gentlemen willing to serve the good people of Hamilton County.

The election commission would be wise and fortunate to vote Bud Knowles into this position.

Don't consider the parties in this selection, instead, consider the quality of the person. Elect Bud Knowles.

The suggestion to ask Bud Knowles to become Administrator of Elections is a wise idea.

I only casually know Mr. Knowles. But in talking to many people around this county about Bud Knowles, I hear him described as "honest," "fair," and "full of integrity." He is not viewed as being aligned with any particular group or party seeking power and position. To appoint Bud Knowles brings the stability we need as we begin to focus on 2006, a very big election year in Hamilton County.

Let me urge all members of the Election Commission to strongly consider eliminating questions about the Office of Elections and vote to appoint Bud Knowles. Such a vote will allow the staff to do their job of conducting the business of democracy.
