I am a native of the south and a resident of Chattanooga now for 15 years. I want to congratulate WDOD and welcome Air America to the Chattanooga Air Waves.
I currently have to listen on the internet. We have enough hate-mongering, venom spewing, right-wing conservative, bury-your head-in the sand viewpoints on the airwaves and they certainly don't represent me or the other 48% of America who didn't vote for Bush.
Isn't there enough of the Rush Limbaughs, Bill O'reillys, Sean Hannitys, Laura Ingrams, Neal Boortz, Ann Coulters (Not Our Ann), Jim Bohannons, and Michael Savages already?
They all have the same talking points. Why are there so many of these people.? Why do they feel it necessary to try and saturate all the airwaves with their propaganda garbage? Why is Rush Limbaugh still talking about Bill Clinton. Doesn't he know that he has been out of office for some time now?
To the gentlemen who wrote in earlier- No, we are not a conservative city, or we would not have all the wonderful things going with our Riverfront and Downtown. Our city is known nationwide for all of the progressive and forward thinking that has taken place here. Let's keep it going.

I’m so happy to here that WDOD will be broadcasting Air America.
Both conservative and liberal voices will be heard here which is great for Chattanooga and great for democracy.
