Lou Miller To Seek 4-Year Term On Commission posted July 28, 2005 County Commissioner Lou Miller said Thursday she will seek a full four-year term for the District 6 long held by her husband, Ben Miller. Commissioner Miller assumed the seat after the death of her husband. She made comments at a County Commission meeting after a portrait of Ben Miller was presented to her and her children by Stan Baker. Commissioner Miller called her late husband "the most unassuming man I have ever known. He helped a lot of people, and I have tried very hard to follow his example. "It is time to move on and to seek a full four-year term of my own." Attorney John Brooks, a former chairman of the Hamilton County Democratic Party, said he plans to run for the seat also. |
