Grant Received For New Equipment For WUTC-FM posted August 5, 2005 Dr. John McCormack, Station Manager of WUTC-FM, has received a $64,308 digital conversion grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Using the CPB funds, WUTC will purchase equipment to enable the station to broadcast a digital signal. Digital broadcasting is a technological leap forward which will provide significantly better audio quality and reception to the station's listeners, said officials. As the only radio station in the Chattanooga area qualified to host CPB programs, WUTC-FM has provided a variety of unique radio programs to the community for over 20 years. The digital conversion grant is the latest in a series of equipment-improvement grants the station has received during that time. |
