Chattanooga State Has New Accelerated Degree Program
posted August 8, 2005

Chattanooga State will present several information sessions about its new Weekend Degree program on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 5 and 6:15 p.m. in room OMNB-106 of the main Amnicola Highway campus; and Monday, Aug. 15, at 5 and 6:15 p.m. at the East Campus located at 7158 Lee Highway.

The Weekend Degree program is designed for working adults, 21 years of age and older, who are looking for a way to complete a degree quickly. The program will allow students to complete an Associate’s degree in General Management in two years (including summers).

Although the business courses will be offered in an accelerated format, the class competencies and requirements in all courses will be the same as the traditional business courses. Students entering this program will take classes every Friday evening and all day Saturday in the Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions for two full years.

Students who successfully complete the Weekend Degree program will be ready to begin accelerated bachelor degree completion programs (like Bryan College’s ASPIRE, Bethel College’s SUCCESS, or Covenant College’s QUEST) by Fall, 2007.

For more information about this program or to make a reservation to attend one of the information sessions, call (423) 697-4441.
