Rachel Parsons, Danielle Colburn Are Pageant Winners Sunday

Rachel Parsons of Jasper was crowned Miss Chattanooga 2006 by Miss Tennessee 2005 Tara Burns Sunday evening at Chattanooga State. Danielle Colburn was chosen Miss Southeast Tennessee 2006.

On Saturday, Stefanie Wittler was chosen Miss Hamilton County 2006 and Kristen Johnson won Miss Tennessee Valley 2006.

All four winners will advance to the Miss Tennessee Pageant at Jackson.

Miss Parsons, a University of Tennessee-Knoxville graduate, is currently living in Mount Pleasant, S.C., where she is interning at Charleston Magazine.

The Journalism/Political Science graduate was selected as a Torchbearer which is the highest undergraduate honor awarded.

Miss Parsons performed a piano solo enroute to her victory and will represent Chattanooga at the 2006 Miss Tennessee Pageant.

Danielle Colburn was crowned Miss Southeast Tennessee by the 2005 winner Jessica Heim.

Miss Colburn, 22, is a junior at Middle Tennessee State University where she is majoring in broadcast journalism.

The Memphis native performed a classical vocal in the talent competition.

The first runnerup as Ansley Reagan of Ooltewah. Miss Reagan, the outgoing Miss Chattanooga, was first runner-up to Danielle Colburn and was also first alternate Saturday to the new Miss Hamilton County Stefanie Wittler. However, by virtue of her third runner-up finish at the 2005 Miss Tennessee Pageant, Miss Reagan will represent the state at the National Sweetheart Pageant which takes place Labor Day weekend in Hoopeston, Ill.
