HHM And SunTrust Partner For Habitat House
posted September 8, 2005

Local CPA firm Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC, and SunTrust Bank will partner this fall to build the 2005 Thanksgiving House for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. This will be the first time two corporate entities have partnered locally to totally fund and construct a Habitat dwelling for the community.

HHM and SunTrust have worked with Habitat in the past - this will be the bank’s third house – and the CPA firm’s second house – constructed in Chattanooga.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held this Saturday, Sept. 10, at 9 a.m. at the house site, 5875 Bunch St. On hand will be the future homeowners and representatives from SunTrust Bank and HHM.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to join with SunTrust on this project,” said HHM Managing Partner Donnie Hutcherson. “And our staff members look forward to once again working with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga.”

Since 1986, Habitat has helped more than 175 Chattanooga families enjoy the benefits of homeownership. Habitat’s zero interest loans and its homeowner education programs give its partner families a hand up, not a handout. Habitat for Humanity for Greater Chattanooga is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International.
