Fire That Killed 2 In Walker County Ruled Accidental posted October 17, 2005 A fire Saturday that killed two people in Walker County has been ruled accidental. Fire officials said the blaze apparently started at the rear of the residence at 699 West Reed Road off Highway 27. The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at the site north of LaFayette near the Tri-State Crematory site. The victims were identified as Michael Johnson, 35, and Flora Chastain, 24. Four people escaped from the burning house. |
