GPS Builds Birdhouses For Habitat posted November 2, 2005
Polka dots and geometric designs competed with floral motifs and animal décor and even one like a giraffe. The local chapter of Habitat for Humanity sells the colorful birdhouses as a way to raise money for local construction efforts. Costing $35, they can be purchased from the organization’s downtown offices. In 2005, GPS joined with McCallie students to build their sixth house for Habitat. Girls who participated in the community service project were Sarah Wagner, Kathryn Galphin, Hailey Johnston, Suzanne Johannes, Julia Harrison, Miranda Avakian, Haven Howard, Neha Patel, Grey Robinson, Chelsea Askew, Caitlin Barringer, Lauren Barth, Anna Conn, Laura McCandless, and Sasha Saidi. |
