Market On Birchwood Pike Suffers $150,000 In Fire Damage posted November 14, 2005 A market on Birchwood Pike suffered fire damage on Sunday evening. 9-1-1 operators received a call at 8:15 p.m. reporting a commercial fire at the Ware Branch Market at 11210 Birchwood Pike. The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene within minutes reporting heavy smoke and fire throughout the building. The firefighters entered the building and were able to bring the fire under control in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported. The entire building and contents sustained heat and smoke damage. Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department Chief Charles Harris said damages could reach $150,000. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. |
